You may see some indications on the web site that I am working on making the site operate in both French and English to accommodate all of our families in this bilingual city of Ottawa.
This will be an ongoing process for a bit as I get the various parts of the site translated and reacting to the user’s language preference.
As a show of (meager) progress, this post has been translated using Google Translate so if you click on the language choice list on the left panel, you should be able to see the bilingual content in action. Future translations will be done by actual humans, so forgive me if Google Translate mangles the French 😉
The web site was running along nicely and getting more and more functionality and content until I was doing some work trying to make it bilingual for our Francophone families and all of a sudden only the main page was working and I couldn’t figure out how to make it work!
I have had to re-install the software and was able to recover most of the content, however, some of the things like the registration forms and photo galleries will take some more time to recover, so please be patient.
This would also be a good time for me to open the floor for suggestions on what the website needs to make it both a way to give information to those seeking it, as well as a resource for the Condor’s community of athletes, families, and volunteers.
Feel free to let me know at firstname.lastname@example.org

The Condors are happy to announce that we are now offering a NEW TEAM serving Eastern Ottawa (Rockland) in addition to the existing Condors team in West Ottawa (Kanata).
The news is especially good for the many potential Condors that were on the waiting list last season as there are now two teams of Condors and therefore twice the number of spots to fill.
The Condors would like to thank Ian Anderson, Matt Bennett and Jim Perkins for making this happen! The addition of a new team to the Condors family is a milestone worthy of celebration!!
Registration forms for Condors East and Condors West (same form, state preference in the form) are now available on the Player Registration page.
Go Condors Go!!
After ending last season on a high note with a successful tournament in Boston, the Condors are eager for the new season.
