A great time was had by all as the Condors WEST continued their undefeated streak trouncing the parents and coaches for the 4th year in a row! The Condors EAST also thoroughly enjoyed accomplishing a resounding win over their parents and coaches, setting the pattern for many victories to come in the years ahead!
Special thanks to all the parents, grandparents, and other family members who laced up their skates, dusted off their sticks and joined the Condors on the ice! Our heartfelt sympathies go out to you all in your losses. Thankfully, the Condors are gracious winners and there was much consolation of the opposing goalie happening at parent’s end of the ice!
We all look forward to the next Condors vs Parents game in the Spring! Watch the calendar for details!

Go Condors Go!!
Saturday, Dec. 3 at 9:15 am, Condors and their families are invited to join us in the Jack Charron arena parking lot to orgnaize ourselves for a bottle drive! Last year, a great time was had by all and it really became a bonding time for players and parents as they walked around neighbourhoods and collected together. I encourage everyone who can, to come on out, but especially those new to the Condors family! If you can come, please send a quick email to Anny Woodward so she can add you to a email@example.com
If you can’t make it to next Saturday’s bottle drive, why not do one in your own neighbourhood? We have found that the week following a holiday yields many happy returns! ;o) I have attached a flyer that Darlene Macdonald has put together for us. Feel free to copy it and distribute it to your neighbours the weekend before your bottle drive date! That is an excellent way to advertise the team, and let your neighbours know you’ll be coming. They can even leave their empties on their front step for you if they’re not going to be home!
Hope to see you next Saturday morning at 9:15am!
You may see some indications on the web site that I am working on making the site operate in both French and English to accommodate all of our families in this bilingual city of Ottawa.
This will be an ongoing process for a bit as I get the various parts of the site translated and reacting to the user’s language preference.
As a show of (meager) progress, this post has been translated using Google Translate so if you click on the language choice list on the left panel, you should be able to see the bilingual content in action. Future translations will be done by actual humans, so forgive me if Google Translate mangles the French 😉
The web site was running along nicely and getting more and more functionality and content until I was doing some work trying to make it bilingual for our Francophone families and all of a sudden only the main page was working and I couldn’t figure out how to make it work!
I have had to re-install the software and was able to recover most of the content, however, some of the things like the registration forms and photo galleries will take some more time to recover, so please be patient.
This would also be a good time for me to open the floor for suggestions on what the website needs to make it both a way to give information to those seeking it, as well as a resource for the Condor’s community of athletes, families, and volunteers.
Feel free to let me know at firstname.lastname@example.org

The Condors are happy to announce that we are now offering a NEW TEAM serving Eastern Ottawa (Rockland) in addition to the existing Condors team in West Ottawa (Kanata).
The news is especially good for the many potential Condors that were on the waiting list last season as there are now two teams of Condors and therefore twice the number of spots to fill.
The Condors would like to thank Ian Anderson, Matt Bennett and Jim Perkins for making this happen! The addition of a new team to the Condors family is a milestone worthy of celebration!!
Registration forms for Condors East and Condors West (same form, state preference in the form) are now available on the Player Registration page.
Go Condors Go!!
After ending last season on a high note with a successful tournament in Boston, the Condors are eager for the new season.
