Happy New Year Condors Families!
Happy New Years Everyone!
My Mom always used to tell us kids that Christmas and New Years were the best time of the year to count our blessings. She also said that if there was someTHING we were thankful for, then the person responsible for that should know it – and if there was someONE we were thankful for, we should tell them. Guess that makes good sense, doesn’t it?
With that in mind, as we have just turned the page from 2015 to 2016, and as a family we have taken some time to again count our blessings, we want to take a moment to let you know how thankful we are for you! The Condors family means so much to us, we can’t begin to express the depth of gratitude we share, that you have permitted us to be part of your lives. You inspire, motivate, encourage, challenge, and enrich our lives in ways that we could never have imagined possible.
As we were thinking this through, and as we’ve been scrambling around the city this week involved in all the Bell Capital Cup tournament activities, we’ve remembered so many special moments shared over the last years. It’s difficult for us to even fathom, that 9 years ago now, we didn’t even know any of you – that is so hard to believe. You have shaped our lives in so many ways, it is an unreachable place for us to try and comprehend what the Perkins’ family’s life would have looked like had this whole thing never happened. You have come to mean so much to us, we can’t imagine that we might have missed it all had you not opened your hearts and lives, and allowed us all to live this dream together.
Thank you! When we count our blessings, we count each of you. We count you players, you parents, you siblings, the board, the incredible volunteers, the Turris family, the Wiercioch family, the Carkner family, the kind supporters, each one of you has made a deep indent in our lives that will never be erased.
From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU, and we trust that 2016 will be an amazing year for you and your families!!!
We are on the ice tomorrow, NOON to 1pm in Gloucester, and the usual NOON to 2pm in Kanata. For those of you who played all week in the tournament, I hope your equipment has had time to dry and even possibly be de-scented…(did anyone else find the hallways at Richcraft Sensplex yesterday getting a tiny bit ripe smelling???)
Again – HAPPY NEW YEAR to each of you!
Looking forward to more great times together in the year ahead!
We’ll be seeing you soon at a rink nearby
Jim (for all the Perkins’)
